Hey friends, how are you?
Our little man is sick and we are heading out to see the Dr. but he decided to squeeze in a little nap (much needed because he was up all night ), so I thought I take this opportunity to share my November Foodie Penpals goodies with you.
I am so lucky, because my partner, Candice, sent me one of the most amazing – if not the best – packages I have received as of yet. When she asked me what I liked I told her about my love for chocolate and all things spicy and that’s what she sent me! Honestly, she really put a great box together for me, I am so excited to share it with you.
Clockwise: cinnamon sticks, maple fudge and maple spiced nuts, Szechuan pepper stir fry sauce (will be used in tonight’s dinner), and a few hot chocolate mixes!
Creme Brulee Hot Chocolate
Double Chocolate Truffle Hot Chocolate, complete with a disposable to-go cup and a cute little whisk ornament.
And then I found these two pouches of espresso sugar and merlot infused sea salt:
Am I excited to try these out?? You bet!
And as if this wasn’t enough, she also included a huge jar full of homemade granola!
Candice, I cannot thank you enough for this month’s fantastic package! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Interested in becoming a Foodie Penpal? You can! It’s a fun foodie exchange program started by Lindsay from the Lean Green Bean. Here are some basics:
- On the 5th of the month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
- You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
- The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
For more info or to sign up head on over to Lindsay’s blog The Lean Green Bean.
Well, I can hear my son is waking up, so we have to get ready to leave for the Dr.’s office.
Hope you are having a fabulous Friday and a fantastic weekend and check back soon for an awesome giveaway coming up!
