I just checked the weather report for the next few days, and for some reason Google thinks it is currently snowing in Greater Vancouver. I beg to differ:
Picture taken with the cell phone – I didn’t bring my new camera… But I finally got one for my birthday last month! However, that still doesn’t make me a decent photographer.
My point is that the sky was bright blue - even though it looks a little more like dusk in the picture, it was taken at noon. Blame it on the cell phone.
So I did, what a girl had to do and went to Starbuck’s to get a Frappuccino in the middle of winter:
Another blurry picture – oops!
But now that it’s gone I’m actually considering going out to get another one… Come on, I ordered a LIGHT one, according to the Starbuck’s nutrition info on their website it has only 170 calories in a grande size.
I could really drink another one, but then on the other hand, I don’t really want to drink too many of my calories… What to do? I don’t even have ice cubes at home to make iced tea. And it’s not even summer yet.
In other news, I just read about Starbuck’s new trenta size. 31 ounces/916 ml! Isn’t that crazy? It will be released at the beginning of May. If we will ever be able to afford a short vacation this May and if we end up in Hawaii again, we might encounter the new trenta cup. Good thing they’re only selling iced coffee and tea in that size. A trenta sized frapp just seems like a health hazard.
OK friends, I have to start finish reading a book and do some cleaning… See you next time!
I, for instance, use the super fancy IKEA pot, heat up my milk of choice (in this case: soy milk mixed with stevia and vanilla), and then I crank out my milk steam machine…
…aka my dollar store whisk!
Use your arm of choice (I’m right handed), and then whisk, whisk, whisk!
The result: A thick foam, that goes well with my coffee (Coffee and I are good friends, especially in exam/essay times )
It really bugs me that I have to shell out almost FIVE BUCKS for a cup of milk and an ounce of espresso… Well, let’s just say I might have had one too many at Starbucks, and I have tuition to pay very soon, so even though it is more of a Cafe Misto than a *real* Latte, it saves me some cash. Plus, my better half told me not to spend so much money on Starbucks, cause he thinks it’s a rip-off… Lalala, I’m covering my ears…!
Anyway, if any of you try it, let me know what you think of it! You’ll hear some more from me as soon as I’m done with most of my essays.
… yep, that’s me! I don’t know why, but I have been super tired and unmotivated/lazy lately. I don’t enjoy shopping and cooking lately, as much as I did before… What is wrong with me? Besides, I have lots of schoolwork to do, so I might just be a little stressed out, but who knows?
I’m trying to cure it with an almost daily dose of Starbuck’s, hehe. I have about five different favourites.
- Skinny Vanilla or Cinnamon Dolce Latte
- Nonfat Caramel Macchiato
- Nonfat Coffee Misto
- Nonfat Earl Grey Tea Latte
- Iced Green Tea Lemonade
I do get the occasional tea or drip coffee, if I’m either short on cash or time, or if I already had my snack (I count fancy, sugary Starbuck’s drinks as snack, due to the calories). What’s your favourite Starbucks drink? Are you a coffee or tea drinker, or do you enjoy both?
