Here’s a little fun fact about me:
I’m a scuba diver. Well, I do have my Open Water certificate since 2008, but unfortunately there’s that little thing with the money, if you’re a student…
Anyway, we’re going on a vacation to Hawaii, and guess what? We’re doing a refresher course! I’m so excited!!!
And to celebrate I had myself a marine breakfast:
Oceanic Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie:
0.5 cup leftover cooked steel-cut oats
2 Tbsp chia seed slime
0.5 cup frozen blueberries
0.5 cup frozen raspberries
0.25 cup acai berry juice
0.5 cup almond milk
1 tsp spirulina powder
Mix all ingredients together & enjoy! It looks like it just came out of the Pacific Northwest’s waters. The spirulina gives it that lovely deep dark blue green underwater colour – not tropical underwater, more like the ocean in British Columbia. It was yummy. I love smoothies.
I’m looking forward to the trip, but unfortunately I also still have two more exams to write. I’m off to my books!
